Nigeria will not know peace until the igbo will become president - Jim Nwobodo

Former governor of the old state of Anambra, Senator Jim Nwobodo asked for the presidency of Igbo in 2023, saying that “Nigeria will not know peace until an Igbo becomes
President. “

Nwobodo made this statement during the celebration of his 79th birthday, which took place in Enugu, Vanguard reports.

He, however, also asked Ndigbo to unite and support any body that is doing well to represent the South east.

He also called on the judiciary to fulfill its obligations to justice saying that it is only the judiciary that can prevent the country from collapsing.

He greeted the governor of the state of Enugu, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, which he noted, brought together the politicians in the state in peace.

Speaking at the event, the chief executive of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, chief Nnia Nwodo, described Ugwuanyi as a governor whose leadership knows no boundaries.

He said that Ugwuanyi does not discriminate between political parties because he treats everyone equally.

Nwodo, who was the president of the occasion, said that Ugwuanyi would not say because he is not a member of his political party and for that reason,
to deny him the due.

He said that since Ugwuanyi came to power, he united the people of the state and this brought peace to the state.

Prominent Nigerians at the event include chief Dubem Onyia, former minister of foreign affairs ; Chief Osita Chidoka, former aviation minister; Barth
Nnaji, former Minister of Power; Chief Ike Ekweremadu, Vice-President of the Senate; Chief Frank Ogbewu, former Minister of Culture, among others.
